Copy my life without the internet
Thank you to whoever made my interenet stop working. I got so much more done. Ella got more attention. My house was cleaner. Now that it's back I can't help but feel partly sad.

Copy my good deal?
Would it be a good idea if I bought a condo that was below market rate? Cause some of these are being offered through the Mayor's Office of Housing and are income restricted. Deal or no deal?

Copy and save
Once a year, you have the opportunity to buy good solid furniture for CHEAP here, at least that's the word on the street. The add shows a sofa kind-of like this one for $377, orginally at $1,650.

Copy the way I eat ice cream
Whenever I order an ice cream cone, I like to fork out the extra 30 cents and get the sprinkle topping. It's worth it. But since my Birthday's coming up, I won't have to spend a dime when I order ice cream from Cold Stone. Because I joined their birthday club, I'll get one free creation in a "Love-It" size. That's nice of them. And I don't even have to use it on my birthday, I have fourteen days. Even better.

Copy everything Bloomingdales does
I just applied for a job at Bloomingdales and in the cover letter I spelled it Bloomingdale's (with an apostrophe). Perhaps they'll read my blog and accept my apology.

Don't copy my makeup skills
I tried to make my eyes have that smoky effect tonight, but it didn't work. Rob kept calling me Pieces of April everytime he wanted my attention.
Copy Bravia's idea for a good time
Happy Mundane linked to this commercial. I love the idea. And don't forget to check out this older Bravia commercial that features the streets of San Francisco.
Copy my Christmas present to Rob
Horray for the Polaroid Insant Camera. I'll be giving that to Rob for Christmas. He said he wanted one. Is anyone surprised? I am. The pictures above are taken from the book Instant Light: Tarkovsky Polaroids.

Copy Kate Spade's favorite names
I love the names Kate Spade picked for her shoe line more than the actual shoes. Here's some of my favorites:

Copy the way I watch TV
I said before that I don't own a TV, but that doesn't stop me from keeping up with the latest shows. Here's the three shows I watch via the internet. (Am I using the word "via" correctly?)
Friday Night Lights

Copy the way I can get Rob to buy me stuff
Dear Rob,
This would make a perfectly sweet Birthday gift for me. Don't forget to put a picture of little Ells in it!
Love,
Sharon

Copy my effort to be cultured
I hope Santa brings me memberships to these places. I found that sometimes its better to get the single membership even though I'm married and have a kid. Since Ella's under 3, she's free anyway and most of the time single memberships let you bring one guest (my husband).
1. Museum of Modern Art: single membership
2. Exploratorium: single membership
3. The San Francisco Zoo: family membership
Am I missing something?

Don't copy how green I am
I agree with Jordan and every girl out there--Anthropologie is on a roll. I had to throw out the catalog that came in the mail today because I felt sick with envy of who ever's actually going to get that stuff for Christmas. It's that good. Exhibit a, b, and c:
Copy how happy I am
I finally know what I'm going to be for Halloween. But shouldn't it be a surprise? I'm tempted to tell, but I won't. Speaking of secrets, I think it was Jordan who showed me Post Secret months ago. Such a brilliant idea. It's an ongoing community art project where people mail in their secrets anonymously on one side of a homemade postcard. New secrets are posted every Sunday on the blog. Here's an example of a few:
Copy Pepper's idea for a good time
My friend Pepper inspired me to sign up for National Novel Writing Month. Anyone else going to join us?

Copying a classic look isn't as easy as I thought
a. b.
c.d.
I thought is would be easy to find a classic pump at the old stand bys (Ann Taylor, Banana Republic, JCrew) but it's been harder than I thought. Here's what I've come up with so far:
a. Victoria Secret's Classic Pump $55 Problem: Can't try them on and too high?
b. Nine West $69 Problem: Can't put my finger on it
c.Target $24.99 Problem: Quality
d. Jessica Simpson $69 Problem: Maybe too narrow
My search continues.

Copy how we spent 8 dollars
We splurged on five pieces of Cocoa Bella chocolates on Friday night. After we finished the last piece, my husband summed it up the best when he said, "Hmm. I like Snickers."

Copy the first thing on my Christmas list
Maybe if I owned this bowl, I would be inspired to cook more just so I could use it.
Copy Kenneth Sarachan's disguise
We sat next to a guy at Blondie's Pizza tonight who was huddled over a small plate of chicken wings, had crazy grey hair, hadn't shaved and had old gray clothes on--looked (but didn't smell) like most of the homeless people I see hanging around Market St. I thought it was weird that out of all the tables, Rob chose this one. We ate, and I didn't think much of it. Until an employee came by with a small notebook, and I thought, "How nice. They are going to give him a job". Then, as I listened to their conversation and watched the employee scribble everything this guy said, I realized that, no, this is not a homeless man, but most likely Kenneth Sarachan, owner of 3 successful pizza restaurants, and 7 cool music stores in the Bay area. Just by the way the Blondie employee was writing down everything he said, and the comments he was making. It was unreal. I did some research, and found this article on Kenneth. He must be worth more than I'll ever know. When I googled his name for images, nothing came up. So I guess I won't know for sure if it was really him or not. Can someone verify this?

Copy my neck obsession
I always get sick and bored of my turtle neck sweaters and end up cutting off the neck. I hope if I got this one, I wouldn't do that.

Copy until someone ruins it for you
+
Margaret just blogged about Ben Folds. Unfortunately, this band was ruined by an exboyfriend who loved this band and also talked about himself too much. Now I can't listen to this album without getting annoyed by the memory of him. Don't you hate it when someone ruins a perfectly good album for you? Read others talk about their ruined albums an this webpage. I asked Rob what albums I would have ruined for him had we broken up before we were married. His answer: "Anything by Bob Dylan or those cheesy girl bands like Elastica and Mazzy Star." He would have ruined Johnny Cash and Radiohead for me. Luckily we worked out so I don't have to give any of these up!

Copy my birthday present idea
The other day Ella ripped my brooch off my sweater and it's in three pieces now. I saved it, like I do all the remains of my broken cheap jewelry but probably won't fix it. Maybe someone will replace my brooch with one of these from Urban Outfitters for my Birthday?
Copy these pumpkin recipes
Everyone was asked to bring an autumn themed dish to a party I'm going to on the 17th. To be safe, I said I'd bring pumpkin chocolate chip cookies. But I hope someone is braver than me and makes this recipe for pumpkin Thai curry by Nigella (she's so beautiful). I've given up on making Thai food. It ends up being cheaper and better if I just get it from a restaurant.

Wouldn't it be fun to dress up like these haute couture models for Halloween? Thanks cruststation for introducing me to Manish Arora!
