Copy everything Bloomingdales does
I just applied for a job at Bloomingdales and in the cover letter I spelled it Bloomingdale's (with an apostrophe). Perhaps they'll read my blog and accept my apology.
I'll copy ideas from Martha Stewart or Rachel Ray or the Real Simple writers or the creative women I meet in San Francisco and then you can copy them from me and then everyone will think we're so creative/smart. Deal?

the picture of the store has it with an apostrophe so you spelt it right? right?
I agree with Margaret. Besides, I think they'll be impressed with the fact that you have your bachelor's degree so I don't think they'll worry about that. I hope you get it! I've never been in a Bloomingdales but it reminds me of the movie Splash when she goes there by herself and buys a bunch of clothes.
Marg-I didn't notice that-- Thanks for making me feel better!
Jeannine-I know! It reminds me of the same thing! How many times do you think we watched that movie?
during this time of year department stores go on a hiring spree anyway-you'll be fine. I hope you get it. Working in retail during christmas can actually be a lot of fun.
get used to a LOT of people with a LOT of face-lifts. I worked there as a Clinique girl in NY and it was such a 'bull in a china shop' situation for me. I am sure your experience will be way better and for sure they would be lucky to hire you.
cos I know oh-so-much about your work ethic. ;-)
At least I know you are consistent with posts and don't have half the typo's I have!
It could have been worse Sharon, you could have written Nordstrom's or Macy's on it.
That's funny, Michelle. Now THAT would be a mess! What would be really funny is if you put Walmart or Target- they would be so offended!
