Do people really wear rain boots? Because there are a ton of them for sale, and they look really cute, but I've never seen anyone wear them in my life. Now that I live in San Francisco will I?

Hi! In October 2010, I moved from San Francisco to Manhattan with my husband, daughter, and twin boys. Since then I've been busy teaching myself and my kids how to hail a cab, fly a kite in Central Park, and walk across the Brooklyn Bridge with style. And a few other things. we sold rainboots at american eagle about 6 months ago and nobody bought them. They were red with flowers. We were all confused.
I wear a pair of Martha's gardening boots (from that great catalog that went kerput) with my skirts or jeans when it rains hard. You need them when the weather gets serious here in SF. Go for a pair that isn't super shiny.
That's funny about american eagle. I used to work in a department store and we would get these things in sometimes that made you wonder "What were the buyers thinking?!"
